Remember to bring your wedge
We are getting closer to the start of the golf season. The evenings are drawing out and hopefully you are getting some good work on your golf at the range. Here’s a big tip: don’t forget some wedge practice during this pre season brush up.
It doesn’t matter if you are Rory McIlroy or newly enthralled with the game. At least two thirds of your total number of golf shots in a round will be comprised of less than full power strokes. Thus it is vital to work on the 100 yards and in distance game. Wedge practice is a must.
There are two things that make that even more important and worthwhile when you visit us here at World of Golf. Firstly, with the TopTracer technology, you can become more precise with your distances for your various wedges. Set yourself the challenge of hitting your wedges a specific distance, say a 65 yard shot. See how many attempts it takes you to match that exactly.
The other brilliant thing at World of Golf is that you pay for the time in the bay so how many golf balls you hit is up to you. In the past paying for a bucket of balls would have maybe made you think that using 20 of your 100 balls for the short game was a waste of money. Today, hitting a ton of wedge shots, with less effort and time to play compared to full power drivers, offers fantastic value. It is also, less exhausting. The pleasant side effect is your scores will reduce on the course this spring. That’s what we call a real win win.
