This is a tantalising time of the year. We are well past the shortest day and those balmy summer evenings playing 9 holes after work are on the horizon. But the prospect of the coldest month of the year, February, is looming large.

This year, why not get ahead of the game and get your golf sharper before the weather improves.

World of Golf has the best value group golf coaching sessions anywhere. The beginners’ group classes are free. The coaching, undertaken by hugely experienced PGA professionals, is also totally free. All you pay for on the 6 weekly one hour sessions is the bay hire fee, which includes balls. This is just £8 if you use your range account. There is a maximum of 8 people in a class and they run all week, every day and both evenings and weekends. These classes will take you back to the building blocks of your golf game, the basics of grip, posture etc which is where your bad shots originate.

It’s a very friendly environment and you might find some potential future golfing partners in the class. The other massive benefit of booking onto a 6-week course is the discipline it creates. Booking onto a class provides a positive reason to get to the range.

If you think your golf may be a little beyond the beginner stage then we also have Improvers classes, throughout the week. The only difference really is that these classes cease to be free. They cost a staggering £12 for the 6 weeks, that is £2 an hour, plus the cost of the balls as with the beginners’ classes. In these classes, the PGA qualified professionals will add more work on your short game and a little more in-depth explanation. You will also benefit from some video analysis.
